Hschooler.net: Account Types

There are two types of accounts in Hschooler.net. Any Christian can sign up for a free Individual account, however, to get the full benefit of Hschooler.net, many members choose to upgrade to a Family account. A Family account costs $10 per year. This fee covers all members of the family. A free one month trial is available to evaluate the benefits of Family membership.

Individual Memberships
An Individual membership in Hschooler.net is free. We recognize that many individual members will be students. Individual members can enjoy many of the features and benefits of Hschooler.net (see table below). However, the full value of Hschooler.net is realized when parents have oversight of their family's activities, so we limit what individual members can do to those activities that we believe are the safest. We also limit the visibility of profile information.

Family Memberships
A Family membership costs $10 per year for the entire family. Each family member joins Hschooler.net to create an Individual membership, and then gets added to the Family account. Upgrading to a Family membership (even for the free one month trial) requires a credit card to ensure that an adult is involved in creating the Family account. Once the Family account is established, Parents can set the boundaries for all members of their family, including what Hschooler.net features can be accessed and how broadly each member can share information with others within Hschooler.net.

Here's a summary of which features are available for different types of Hschooler.net members:

S = Standard (Enabled by default. Parents can disable.)
O = Optional (Disabled by default. Parents can enable.)
T = Tuits Required (Disabled by default. Parents can enable by paying a fee in Tuits.)
U = Upgrade Available (It may require paying a fee in Tuits to fully use this tool.)
